Liquid nitrogen dosing system can be added as well. When liquid nitrogen vaporizes, it expands to 682 times its liquid volume which pressurizes the bottle. In addition, it is inert – thus protecting the drink against oxidation, which can affect the shelf life. With this feature, the weight of PET polymers in the bottles can be reduced to combat the increasing environmental and cost pressures.
